These flushing surveys are not being done to gauge population growth and any conclusions drawn from this data alone would be inaccurate. They are used to determine sex ratios which when combined with spring crowing counts, provide population density in a certain area. We can also get some idea of population expansion with crowing routes done on the edges of the WPRA.
January 31st pheasant flushing group. Close to 70 people and 50 dogs turned out to help.
